ASICS have a new and exciting opportunity to join our best-in-class Planning team as a Senior Direct-to-Consumer (DTC) Merchandise Planner. Reporting to the DTC Planning Manager, this role will drive the strategy of the ASICS Oceania full price sales channels that ensures we have the right stock in the right place at the right time.
So, what goes into making that happen?
Ownership of the Full Price and E-Commerce Open to Buy Process
- Reviewing and provide inputs in the OTB ensuring sales plans can be achieved with available inventory
- Forecasting sales at a product series/silhouette level to inform future send out requirements, providing actionable trading insights
- Liaising with Retail Merchandising and Supply Planning teams to ensure buy forecasts and submissions are provided on a timely basis
- Managing all full price and e-Comm PIRs ensuring demand is assigned by month and aligned to availability requirements
- Liaising with the Retail Buyer and Supply Planning to enable on time product launches, aligned to lifecycle rules and store capacity plans
Sell Through, Pricing & Inventory Control
- Maintaining the full price and e-Comm inventory position within months of cover targets
- Propose and plan offers for key sale events, liaising with Marketing and Retail teams to ensure execution of Retail sale events
- Ensuring stores are maintained at capacity levels, with stock health KPI’s achieved
- Ensuring stock health and size runs are optimised in stores
Drive Trade Results
- Provide weekly trade insights and actionable analysis to improve sales results
- manage an actions list, and follow through on trade driving initiatives with urgency, collaborating closely with retail teams
- Owning and communicating the narrative of full price and e-Comm trade results, and be ahead of any sales risks with proposed merchandise plans
- Plan store KPI’s (conversion, ASP, UPT) ensuring that KPI’s are achievable and aligned with S&OP sales targets
- Undertake seasonal hindsight’s, ensuring key learnings are incorporated into the future DTC strategy, sharing insights and opportunities with our product teams to influence future range decisions

- Minimum 5 years’ experience in a DTC Merchandise Planning
- Prior people leadership experience with demonstrated capability in leading high performing, capable teams
- Excellent problem solving and commercial decision-making skills
- Excellent communication and rapport building skills
- Strategic thinker, taking the initiative to identify opportunities and improvements
- A disciplined and professional approach
- High level of IT and system literacy (Microsoft Office, advanced Excel, QlikSense and SAP desirable)
- Ability to deliver results in a deadline driven environment
