Job Description

Hi 👋 I’m Rosalia, and I lead our Product Marketing team at Ashby.

I started my career in Product Marketing and helped build the Sales Enablement function at HubSpot during its journey from startup to IPO. Since then, I’ve worked across RevOps and Customer Marketing at Procore and Meta, partnering with incredible teams to bring differentiated products to market. I first heard of Ashby through our Head of Content, Anum, with whom I’d spent those early days at HubSpot, and was inspired by the level of thoughtfulness and operating principles I saw and read about. I joined Ashby in April of 2024 back in Product Marketing - bringing all these experiences together to help build a thoughtful, high-impact team.

We’re a small team with high standards and mutual respect for our teammates and community. The way we do Product Marketing at Ashby reflects that, all with a good dose of fun 🎉. We value clarity over cleverness, lean into autonomy, and treat writing well and first principles thinking as core parts of the job. We avoid jargon, favor plain English, and focus on helping customers genuinely understand what our product does and how it can help them. Because we’ve built deep relationships with a thoughtful, engaged customer base, we’re often co-creating with them - sharing product materials that are actually read, used, and appreciated by people who see us as partners, not just vendors.

We’re looking for a Senior Product Marketing Manager who is excited about owning product launches.

This role is for someone who thrives on the details but understands the bigger picture – someone who can clearly explain technical launches and how they benefit prospects and customers in their daily workflows and approach to talent acquisition. Someone who wants to work closely with Product and Engineering to understand how a feature works, and act as a translator for the front-line teams. That means translating product specs into the materials, messaging, and demos that power our launches. You’ll obsess over how we tell our product story - from crafting one-pagers and recording crisp, clear product videos, to hosting quarterly launch events that make a splash in the market, to building internal enablement that allows our team to tell our differentiated story.

This is a great fit for someone who enjoys being in the weeds of technical products, but also has a sharp editorial voice, strong product instincts, and loves to always be shipping.

Your Background

There is not a single background that is the perfect fit for this role. We care more about the skills and intrinsic capabilities you bring to the table, and could see someone from a number of different backgrounds being a good fit, including:

  • Product Marketing

  • Product Management

  • Solutions / Sales Engineering

  • Sales Enablement

  • Technical L&D

What You’ll Do

Lead Product Launches

  • Own go-to-market planning and execution for all feature releases and new products.

  • Work closely with Product Managers to shape value propositions, messaging, and demo strategies.

  • Create assets including blog posts, one-pagers, demo videos, internal launch docs, and enablement materials.

  • Host quarterly launch events for our Tier 1 product launches.

Be a product expert and create leverage for your team

  • Serve as the product expert and go-to resource for launch messaging and positioning.

  • Collaborate closely with Solutions Engineering, RevOps, and Enablement teams to ensure audiences across the organization are best-equipped through their channels.

  • Leverage AI, automation, and systems to efficiently ship GTM plans for a high velocity of product releases, giving yourself time back for more high leverage work.

Contribute to Product Narrative

  • Shape how individual launches connect to Ashby’s platform story in collaboration with the broader Marketing and Product teams.

  • Develop compelling narratives that tie together multiple product features and package them for both internal teams and the market

You Might Be a Fit If:

  • You’ve got an exceptional eye for detail - people consistently trust you as the final eye on something because you catch more than just typos every time

  • You’re the person people ping and say, “Can you just explain this feature in normal words?” and you actually can.

  • You know how to shape a good demo that tells a story. Not just “click here, then here” but “here’s how this solves your problem.”

  • You are comfortable owning your own copy and collaborating with design teams to produce well-polished assets.

  • You can read a launch plan and immediately hear the voices of Sales and CS in your head “but what about XYZ?”, and you’ve already worked with technical and product teams for the answer.

  • You can follow a playbook but are not afraid to go back to first principles thinking and build something from scratch without much direction

You Might Not Be a Fit If:

  • You’re not a natural relationship builder and don’t feel comfortable working across Product and GTM folks

  • You aren’t the person people go to when they’re trying to understand the complexities of a new product

  • You find stakeholder and project management more draining than satisfying

  • You’d rather not weigh in on or be the final call on creative because someone else will catch it (noting you will have design support, but that someone to catch it is you :)

Interview Plan:

  • 30 min with Anna (Recruiting)

  • 45 min Rosalia (Hiring Manager)

  • VP Marketing interview with Harriet

  • CEO Interview

  • Project

  • Final round with Tony, Sr. PMM

Benefits

  • Competitive salary and equity.

  • 10-year stock option exercise window. You shouldn’t feel pressure to purchase stock options if you leave Ashby —do it when you feel financially comfortable.

  • Unlimited PTO with a strong culture of actually taking time off.

  • 12 weeks of fully paid family leave (US).

  • Generous budget for equipment, software, and office setup. Get what you need to be happy and productive!

  • $100/month learning budget, with conferences covered with manager approval.

  • Top-tier health insurance for US employees (100% premium covered).
