About the role
As the Technical Support Specialist, you will be the go-to person making sure our end users remain connected, equipped, and enabled. You’ll be a key player on the Technology & Innovation team, supporting the systems that drive clinical breakthroughs. From troubleshooting day-to-day technology hiccups to helping roll out new tools, you’ll be hands-on in shaping a seamless technology experience for our team.
Your main responsibilities will include but not limited to:
- Respond to and resolve IT support tickets regarding corporate devices such as laptops, printers.
- Provide IT support to improve the end user’s endpoint experience.
- Deploy, maintain, and support auxiliary IT technology.
- Manage and maintain accurate case/ticket records in the Help Desk system and make improvements as identified.
- Help develop IT tools and processes to promote efficient and effective end-user support practices.
- Collaborate with local and remote IT team members to build and maintain positive, productive team relationships.
- Keep updated on industry trends and emerging technologies as applicable to Microsoft’s ecosystem
Location: This role is on-site at our office in Cary, NC, USA.

To be successful we are looking for the following traits and behaviors:
- Associate degree and/or 0-2 years of experience in computer-related technologies and supporting Microsoft Office 365 desktop technologies and Business Applications; including Teams, SharePoint, Exchange
- Certification in One or more computer related technologies
- Strong understanding of Box and other storage platforms
- Proficiency supporting Microsoft Intune / Endpoint Management (mobile and desktop)
- Strong understanding of Switches, VPN, and Wi-Fi access points and other networking technologies
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to manage multiple assignments and tasks; achieve deadlines and work in a fast-paced office environment.
- The ability to serve others and trouble shoot problems.
- Strong listening, organizational skills, and attention to detail.
