Aligned Orthopedic Partners is recruiting an experienced Revenue Cycle Supervisor to support billing operations in our Maryland and Virginia Beach locations.



PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES MAY INCLUDE:

Supervisory Duties

  • Provide training and support for assigned Patient Account Representatives and Insurance Verification/Authorization Specialists.
  • Meet with Revenue Cycle Manager and Director on a regular basis to discuss overall coding/charge entry/billing production and workflow
  • Monitor overall workload and production of assigned staff, and distribute work accordingly
  • Ensure all duties are covered in the case of vacancies, vacations, and sick days
  • Maintain knowledge of the operational details of key positions in the business office, including coding, charge posting, insurance claim processing, insurance collections and patient collections
  • Maintain detailed knowledge of practice management and other computer software as it relates to job functions
  • Collaborate with other RCM Supervisors and Managers to ensure smooth communication between all functions of billing and collection.
  • Review and maintain time and attendance information in the payroll system
  • Backup RCM Manager when Manager is not available
  • The RCM Supervisor does not serve a primary role in recruitment, performance review, discipline, and termination of assigned Medical Coders and Revenue Cycle Specialists

Insurance and Patient Collection Duties

  • Have knowledge of the daily processing of assigned collections/AR follow up by provider/facility/payer
  • Assist outsourced billing team with responding to denials/ rejections/ underpayments and assist Revenue Cycle Specialists as needed.
  • Organizes resources assigned to ensure the efficient and effective management of the accounts receivable

Other Duties

  • Occasional travel to all our locations
  • Prepare information for the HIPAA Compliance Officer as needed
  • Maintain patient confidentiality; complies with HIPAA and compliance guidelines established by the practice

We’d love to hear from you if you have:

  • Two to three years of experience in office management and working in a physician group practice billing department
  • Certification as a Medical Coder
  • Proven knowledge of CPT and ICD-9-CM coding for orthopedics and orthopedic surgery
  • Proven success in managing staff
  • Comfortable using email and interacting with Internet applications
  • Knowledge of practice management and word processing software
  • Ability to perform multiple and diverse tasks simultaneously
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills and cheerful attitude
  • Able to enter data into the computer system accurately
