We foster an inclusive culture and are looking for diverse, talented people to join Alcon. As a Sr. Manager, Production Management supporting the MTO APSEX Team in Fort Worth, TX, a typical day will include:

  • Manage and guide teams, implementing departmental plans to ensure performance and success

  • Oversee multiple teams, contributing to policy and procedure development

  • Make decisions affecting team operations and performance, approve projects, and allocate resources

  • Lead quality investigations and continuous improvement initiatives

  • Provide leadership in managing production activities, including assembly, processing, and packaging

  • Plan, direct, and monitor production to meet specifications, schedules, and quality standards

  • Liaise with Manufacturing Engineering, Supply & Logistics, Sales, and other departments to develop production schedules and allocate resources

  • Plan, prioritize, and manage production line maintenance to minimize disruptions

  • Foster a culture of excellence by leading performance management and talent development

  • Ensure positive associate relations and enhance engagement

  • Drive a strong safety culture and recognize achievements

  • Adhere to GxP regulations, follow SOPs, maintain documentation, and ensure quality control

  • Commit to continuous improvement and regulatory compliance

  • Responsible for managing various production activities (e.g., assembly, material forming/shaping, processing, treating, or packaging, etc.) including Planning, directing, and monitoring production to meet established specifications, schedules, volume/cost/wastage targets, and quality standards -Liaising with Manufacturing Engineering, Supply & Logistics, Sales, etc.

  • Developing production schedules and allocating labor/capital resources Planning, prioritizing, and managing production line maintenance/downtime to minimize disruptions

  • Leading and/or participating in quality investigations

  • Delivering continuous improvement, assuring safe work environment, developing pipeline talent.

WHAT YOU’LL BRING TO ALCON:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or Equivalent years of directly related experience (or high school +15 yrs; Assoc.+11 yrs; M.S.+4 yrs; PhD+3 yrs)

  • The ability to fluently read, write, understand and communicate in English 

  • 7 Years of Relevant Experience

  • 5 Years of Demonstrated Leadership
