The Talent Acquisition Manager will develop and lead innovative, data-driven recruitment strategies to attract top talent for a 600-employee metal fabrication plant. This role will oversee full-cycle recruitment for both office-based professionals (e.g., Finance, Engineering, HR) and skilled production roles (e.g., Welders, Electricians, Assemblers). The Talent Acquisition Leader will partner closely with hiring managers, evaluate staffing needs, manage vendor relationships, and strengthen the company’s employment brand using digital platforms, including social media and the corporate website.

Key Responsibilities:


Talent Strategy & Execution

  • Design and execute sourcing strategies to attract a diverse and qualified candidate pool for hourly, salaried, and professional positions.
  • Analyze workforce trends and partner with department leaders to anticipate talent needs and prioritize hiring efforts accordingly.
  • Lead end-to-end recruitment processes including job posting, screening, interviewing, and selection.
  • Develop and execute scalable strategies for peak hiring periods.

Employment Branding & Candidate Experience

  • Develop and promote the employer brand using the company website, applicant tracking system (ATS), job boards, and social media platforms such as LinkedIn and Indeed.
  • Ensure a consistent and positive candidate experience across all touchpoints.
  • Collaborate with Marketing and HR to produce compelling recruiting content and highlight employee stories.

Agency & Vendor Management

  • Assess when to use external staffing partners for temporary, contract-to-hire, or hard-to-fill positions.
  • Establish and manage performance-based agreements with staffing agencies and recruitment partners.
  • Monitor cost-effectiveness and service quality of external vendors.

Technology & Process Improvement

  • Manage and optimize the use of the applicant tracking system to streamline workflows, improve time-to-fill, and maintain data integrity.
  • Report on key recruiting metrics and make recommendations for continuous improvement.
  • Own and optimize recruitment KPIs, dashboards, and reporting.
  • Implement best practices to reduce turnover and improve talent pipelines for key roles.

Team Leadership

  • Supervise and develop the Talent Acquisition Specialist, providing guidance, performance feedback, and growth opportunities.
  • Champion inclusive hiring practices and promote a collaborative, high-performance recruitment culture.


Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field (required).
  • 5+ years of progressive recruitment experience, including at least 2 years in a leadership or senior recruiter role.
  • Experience recruiting in both corporate and skilled trades/manufacturing environments.
  • Experience managing and mentoring a recruiting team.
  • Demonstrated experience improving recruitment processes and workflows at scale.
  • Proven track record of successful hiring in high-growth organizations.
  • Demonstrated success managing sourcing strategies across multiple platforms and leveraging digital tools.
  • Familiarity with applicant tracking systems (e.g., iCIMS, Workday, ADP, or similar).
  • Strong interpersonal, project management, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently, influence across functions, and adapt in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR, or SPHR certification.
  • Experience in a complex highly engineered / high-compliance manufacturing setting.
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus.
